Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ - Lew Wallace (1880) 1st Ed. - Harpers - Preowned

A vintage 1st Edition copy of the famous novel "Ben-Hur" written by Lew. Wallace, recounting the story of Jesus and his impact on the family of Hur and other people. This book was published in 1880; it has a total of 564 pages, 552 of which are the story of Ben-Hur. The remaining 12 pages are a list of Harper & Brothers publications. The front piece of this antique copy of the book was signed and dated in 1886 by Lizzie Dillon, who may have been its initial owner. Covered in a dark brown textured/woven fabric, the book measures 7 inches x 5.25 inches x 1.25 inches; its weight is 1 pound 3.9 ounces. Inside pages are intact except for the last page which is about 3/4 loose from the binding. No pages are torn or missing. Shipment is by US Postal Service Ground Advantage Mail.
